Kindergarten Program
General Courses
The following courses are offered to all levels.
Eagle’s arts and crafts class offer students the opportunity to create art, learn about colours, and how to utilize various art supplies such as crayons and glue. This course aims to improve students’ fine motor skills and enhance their creativity.
Students use smart boards in lessons for interactive learning experiences. They engage with digital content, annotate and mark up material, participate in quizzes and games, and follow demonstrations and modeling. The smart board facilitates active participation, collaboration, and diverse learning styles, whether in the classroom or during remote learning.
Every month children learn different songs and dances associated with the theme of the month. Music strengthens children’s sensory development and memory whereas dancing helps with improving their coordination and self-expression.
Eagle combines exercises with easy chants to help children to not only stay active, but to also learn a variety of verbs each month. Associating actions with words helps children to learn new vocabularies much faster and remember them better.
Japanese language class teaches basic reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, focusing on hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji. It also integrates cultural lessons, exploring Japanese customs, festivals, food, arts, history, and daily life through interactive activities. This combination fosters an appreciation for Japan while developing practical language skills.
Phonics class teaches children to read and write by focusing on the relationship between sounds and letters. Children learn to recognize letters, associate them with sounds, blend sounds to form words, and break words into their component sounds for spelling.
Math class develops basic arithmetic skills and understanding of concepts like shapes, patterns, and measurements. Activities include hands-on learning with manipulatives, interactive games, and problem-solving exercises. These engaging methods help children apply math in practical ways, building a strong foundation, critical thinking, and confidence in using numbers.
Every month, students will be learning about a different topic in science class and have an experiment to help students understand the concepts being taught. This is a student lead activity where they can freely explore and discover the concepts at their own pace with the guidance of the teachers.
